Cold Case of Natasha Cleary and her 2 young sons

 

Natasha Cleary and her two young sons Marquwon Owens, 12, and Katarion Friar, 2 were brutally murdered in April 2011 at their house on Canterbury Lane.

Officials said they died as a result of gun shot wounds.

After the murders the suspect(s) set the house on fire.

According to the Coroner’s report, “The autopsy did not show any soot in their trachea or lungs…they were all dead before the fire.“

And then later on the suspect tried to use her debit card at the ATM at Northwest Bank, 3106 N. Rockton Road.

Rockford Scanner™: Police Investigating A Fatal Shooting

Death Investigation: 19-389
On Friday 01/11/19, the Ogle County Sheriff’s 911 center took a call in reference to a subject with a self-inflicted gunshot wound in Rochelle at 300 South Main St. #4. Rochelle fire and police personnel were dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival, a deceased male subject was located in the living room, with an apparent gunshot wound to the head. Rochelle Police detectives, the Illinois State Police Crime Scene Unit and the Ogle County Coroner were called to the scene. The deceased is John M. Garza, 28, of Rochelle.

Witnesses on scene advised officers that the deceased subject had been playing with a handgun just prior to hearing a gunshot and finding the victim in the living room.
During the course of the investigation, it was learned that several subjects had fled the scene. The firearm used in the shooting could not be located and it was believed that one of the subjects who fled the scene had taken the gun.
Ogle County Sheriff’s detectives were called to assist in locating the missing witnesses. The Ogle County Sheriff’s drone was used to check the surrounding rooftops for the missing weapon, with negative results.

Detectives were able to locate the individuals that had been in the apartment at the time of the shooting and take statements from them. Detectives spoke to one of the witnesses who took them to the weapon that was allegedly used in the shooting. The weapon was recovered and will be sent to the Illinois State Police Crime Lab for processing.

The Ogle County Coroner’s Office will conduct an autopsy on Monday 01/14//19

Fatal Two Vehicle Accident

On 01/11/19 at approximately 6:30 AM Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies and the Franklin Grove Fire Department responded to a 2 vehicle accident with injuries on Lowden Road about 1/4 mile south of Stone Barn Road in rural Franklin Grove.

A white Mazda passenger car driven by Michael Chavera, 49, of Dixon was driving northbound on Lowden Road and a red Mazda passenger car driven by Frank Castaldo, 28 of Byron was driving southbound.

Both vehicles collided nearly head-on, rolled over at least once and came to a rest in the east ditch of the roadway.

Chavera was pronounced dead at the scene by the Ogle county Coroner. Castaldo sustained only minor injuries and declined medical attention. Accident remains under investigation.

ILLINOIS STATE POLICE MOURN THE LOSS OF
TROOPER CHRISTOPHER LAMBERT

DOWNERS GROVE, IL – Illinois State Police (ISP) Director Leo P. Schmitz regretfully announces the line of duty death of ISP District 15 (Downers Grove) Trooper Christopher Lambert.

This afternoon, January 12, 2019, at approximately 4:45 p.m., Trooper Christopher Lambert #6527, was on scene of a three-vehicle traffic crash, in the left lane on I-294 near Willow Road. While handling that crash another vehicle in traffic failed to stop and struck Trooper Lambert while he was outside of his patrol car. Trooper Lambert sustained serious injuries as a result the crash and was given CPR by an off duty nurse, before being transported to Glenbrook Hospital. At approximately 7:24 p.m., Trooper Lambert succumbed to his injuries.

“Trooper Lambert was a great trooper and was respected by those within and from outside the ISP, this is a tremendous loss which could have been prevented and should have never happened,” said ISP Director Leo P. Schmitz. “Trooper Lambert deliberately placed his vehicle in a position to protect the lives of the victims of the previous crash, and took on the danger himself. He will be remembered for his dedication to the Illinois State Police and for giving the ultimate sacrifice to protect and serve the citizens of Illinois.”

Trooper Lambert was a five year veteran of the Illinois State Police District 15 in Downers Grove and was assigned to the Criminal Patrol Team. Trooper Lambert was also a prior member of the United States Army.

Additional information will be released once it becomes available. Trooper Lambert’s visitation and funeral arrangements are pending.

Rockford Scanner™: Rollover Accident, Person Ejected From The Vehicle

UPDATE: This is a fatal accident, one confirmed person dead.

Sources are reporting a vehicle has crashed into a field, in Rockford.

There is a vehicle in the field near Elmwood and Owen Center, Just North of this location. Approx. 300-400 feet into the field.

The vehicle has rolled over and at least one person was ejected from the vehicle.

Sounds like possible life threatening injuries, not confirmed.

Avoid the area for awhile.

Lottie Flowers

On February 23, 2002 Winnebago County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to 730 Newport for a medical assist call.  Upon arrival they found the victim, Lottie Flowers, 71 years old in the living room on the home with multiple stab wounds.  Mrs. Flowers was transported to the hospital where she later died.

Mrs. Flowers was very active in her church and also delivered newspapers at Rockford Memorial Hospital.  She had been at the hospital earlier that morning.

Mrs. Flowers lived in the house with her husband, son and grandson.  She was very well know and loved by all who knew her.

On Saturday January 30, 2016 at 2:05 a.m., Treesa Wiley, 35 years old, was shot to death after entry was forced into a home in the 1300 block of Carbaugh Avenue in the outskirts of the northwest side of Rockford.

Treesa, a teacher at a local daycare center, was at this home visiting a friend who survived gunshot wounds.

Rockford Scanner™: Two Bad Accidents In The Area, Baby Injured

Sources are reporting 2 bad accident scenes in the area today.

Just before 1 pm near the Schnucks on State, there was an auto accident with injuries.  A baby is reported to be injured.  The cause of the accident is under investigation.

The other accident scene in on I-90 (Didnt know mile marker)  but here is a bad accident on I-90 and traffic is reported to be backed up for many miles and causing a very long and almost standstill traffic jam. Unknown on the severity of the injuries. The cause of the accident is under investigation.

Sources said this is possibly a fatal, but not yet confirmed

Sources are reporting a shooting victim in Rockford.

It happened near 2929 Sunnyside in Rockford.
This is Cloisters of Forest Hills.

Sources said there is at least one shooting victim near this location. A male victim was shot in the head and is barely alive and are performing life saving measures on the victim.

No suspect information at this time, due to the encryption.

Note: Some fans have said this might be self inflicted. RPD has yet to comment on this.

Serious Auto Accident Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle

Just before 11 pm emergency personnel were dispatched to a serious auto accident in the 4700 block of North Rockton.

A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle near this location possibly life threatening injuries not yet confirmed.

It appears from what we saw at the scene: The vehicle may have been traveling North on Rockton, about a quarter mile south of Elmwood when the accident happened.

Police have North Rockton blocked off at Elmwood and also at Embury, it appears this road will be closed for several hours while an investigation is completed. (Update: Police have put up barricades now)

Unconfirmed: From what we been told so far the victim is possibly a male. And the driver of the vehicle is possibly a female.  The accident is under investigation.
