UPDATE: 6TH STREET SHOOTING LATEST: The 30-year-old male victim shot on Tuesday at 6th St. and E. State has died from his injuries. His name is not being released at this time. Additional charges for the suspect, Jamie Pearson, are pending review by the SA’s Office


6TH STREET SHOOTING ARREST: 28-year-old Jamie Pearson was taken into custody last night following Tuesday’s shooting on 6th St. that injured 2 people. The incident was not random. He now faces attempted murder and aggravated battery charges


Sources told us the suspect vehicle is a dark colored impala with tinted windows, damage to the driver side rear quarter panel, no hubcap on the passenger side, and no front plate. Last seen southbound on 6th st


Sources are reporting a shooting victim in Rockford. 

It happened just before 3 pm today near State and 6th st.

Reports of several shots were fired and one person was shot in the head.

A victim was reported to have been seen laying in the roadway.

Possible multiple victims but not yet confirmed.

Police have the area blocked off.

RPD has not released any information.

The suspect(s) are still roaming the streets of Rockford, police have not released any information on the incident or suspects


UPDATE: RPD released the following info: SHOOTING UPDATE: Initial investigation shows shots fired between two vehicles traveling SB on 6th near E. State. Two people struck in one vehicle – one has life-threatening injuries, unknown on other victim’s condition at this time

Rockford Scanner™: Several Pedestrians Hit Overnight. One Scene Took The Life Of A Teenage Boy




Several pedestrians were struck by vehicles overnight in the area.

#2 FEMALE HIT BY A VAN: On Springfield ave, in the westbound lanes between Prairie and the Lowes Distribution Center.   Sources said a vehicle hit a female in the westbound lanes.  We were originally told the vehicle involved was a 1st responder vehicle. I worked the scene, and I did not see any indication that it was. So that is not confirmed. I did see a dark colored van with a stripe along the side of it, and a few antennas on it, that had front driver side damage to it.  Behind that vehicle was several evidence markers in the roadway and police talking to a male.  Police had the westbound lanes of traffic blocked off, while investigating.  It is not yet known on the severity of the females injuries. I have been told they were serious, but police have yet to confirm this. The cause of the accident is under investigation.

#3 Parmele and 15th, a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle. Unknown on the severity of the injuries. Not a lot of information is available about this scene, other than a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle and the vehicle fled the scene.

The cause of the accidents are under investigation.   Police have not yet released any information on any of these scenes. Winnebago County Coroners office has released information on #1, the teen that was killed in Loves Park. We will provides updates as they become available.

 

 








 

Rockford Scanner™: Pedestrian Was Struck By A Vehicle in Loves Park, Possible Fatal

Sources said he walked to Walmart to buy a camera he wanted. And while he left Walmart he was stopped by police, because they noticed he had a disability and was alone. And the teen fled from police because he was scared. And shortly afterwards, was hit and killed on E Riverside. RPD and LPPD were on scene of the accident.

Several sources were reporting a very serious accident in Loves Park. 

It happened on E Riverside near Renn Hart Hills, around 1 am

A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle.   

RS Source Joseph D. said a male subject (possibly a teen) was struck by 2 vehicles and killed. 

He said the young teen only had on pajamas, no shoes or shirt. 

He said the 2 vehicles did not stop, so this is an alleged fatal hit & run 

The police had the area blocked off from Hiatt to what appeared to be Pebble Creek.   

The pedestrian was struck by the vehicles in the west bound lanes of traffic in the 1800 block of E Riverside, near Renn Hart Hills.

 Police have yet to confirm this. 








 

Rockford Scanner™: Possible Stabbing In Pecatonica




UPDATE: Sources have told us that Police have charged 53 year old David Baldwin,  with 2 counts of first degree murder for the death of 52 year old Scott A. Rocen. Baldwin allegedly stabbed Rocen several times,  after an alleged fight. They are reported to have been friends and got into an argument over a pack of cigarettes. Police have not confirmed this.



Sources are reporting a stabbing in Pecatonica.

Sources said at least one person was stabbed near E Seventh st.

It is unknown on the severity of the injuries.

We can confirm there are emergency personnel on scene.

Police have not confirmed anything, or released any information.

Sources are reporting an Ogle County Board Chairman has been found dead in his home.

Reports are saying 66-year-old Kim Gouker,   was found dead in his home.

No other information at this time. 

 








 

Rockford Scanner™: Car vs Dump Truck Fatal Crash in Rock County




 

On September 9, 2019 at 3:55p.m., deputies from the Rock County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash involving a 2010 Dodge Charger and a 2019 Mack Dump truck on W CTH B at N. Coon Island Rd. in the Town of Magnolia. Footville, Orfordville, Janesville Fire/EMS, a Wisconsin State Patrol Inspector and a Wisconsin State Patrol Reconstruction Team responded to the crash.

Investigation shows the Dodge Charger was driven by a 29-year-old woman from Evansville, Wisconsin and the Mack dump truck was operated by a 42-year-old male from Beloit, Wisconsin. The Dodge Charger was traveling south on N. Coon Island Rd. and failed to stop at a stop sign at W CTH B.

The Dodge Charger struck the loaded Mack dump truck that was westbound on W CTH B. The driver of the Dodge Charger and a 5-year-old male passenger of the same vehicle were ejected. A 2-month-old female passenger of the Dodge Charger was also in the vehicle, but sustained no injuries.

The driver of the Charger was pronounced deceased at the scene. The 5-year-old male passenger was transported with critical injuries. The driver of the Mack dump truck did not sustain any injuries.

W CTH B and N. Coon Island Rd. were closed to traffic for approximately seven hours while emergency personnel secured the scene.

 








 

Rockford Scanner™: Very Serious Accident Near Roscoe, Medical Helicopter En Route

Sources are reporting a serious accident near Roscoe. 

There are several vehicles involved a serious accident on I-90 near mile marker 5 3/4, near Roscoe.

A SUV is pinned under a semi.  Heavy extrication was being requested.

One person who is approx. 39 years old, is reported to be injured,
Possible life threatening injuries. (Unconfirmed)
A medical helicopter has been requested to the scene.

Traffic is backed up for miles.  Avoid the area.

UPDATE: They requested the medical helicopter to the scene, the medical helicopter was not able to fly, due to the weather. This sounds like a very serious accident scene, DO NOT attempt to get on I-90. This is a very bad scene and traffic is backed up for awhile.


Cheri Barefield   said “I saw the initial accident. It was minor…a car side swiped the semi in heavy rain. The problem is they BOTH stopped in the middle of the interstate! 2 lanes! And traffic was coming up on them fast! Very dangerous situation! I don’t know why they didn’t get off to the side of the road…it was minor damage. I bet someone came up on it and rammed right into them. So sad!”








 

Rockford Scanner™: Police Chase Ends Up In A Very Serious Accident, Multiple Injuries & Extrication

Update from the WCSO:

On Thursday evening Sept. 5th, 2019, at approximately 10:30 pm, Winnebago County Sheriff’s deputies were in the area of N. Central Ave. and observed a suspicious vehicle, a dark color SUV driving recklessly and at a high rate of speed.

Deputies attempted to stop the suspicious vehicle which fled from the Deputies at a high rate of speed. The pursuit was terminated by the Deputies.

Deputies located the vehicle a short time later which was occupied by two subjects. The driver of the SUV again started to flee and attempted to strike the Sheriff’s deputies vehicle.

Deputies pursued the vehicle which was fleeing west on Auburn St. At the intersection of Auburn St & N. Springfield Ave, the suspect vehicle crashed into another vehicle at the intersection.

The two occupants of the suspect vehicle along with the one person in the other vehicle were transported to local hospitals for injuries from the crash.

2 people have died.

The Rockford Police Department is investigating the incident along with the Illinois State Police Integrity Task Force.

Accident update on Springfield and Auburn: multiple victims trapped, additional fire companies and three ambulances requested. three patients transported.

Sources are reporting there was a police chase and a vehicle involved crashed.

It happened around 10:50 pm tonight in the area of Auburn & Springfield. 

Multiple injuries are being reported. It is not yet known on the severity of the injuries. We have been told the injuries do appear to be serious.

(A local news station is reporting this to be a fatal.)

But not confirmed. 

Multiple extrication units were being requested. 

One of the vehicles hit a pole and knocked the power out in the area.

Reports of the police chase was on Auburn near the “Wreck-It-Round-A-Bout” (Main)  and had almost 20 officers chasing it.  And was headed West on Auburn, when it crashed at Springfield. 

Power is out in the area, due to the accident. Estimated restore time is approx. 1 AM. 

Police have not yet confirmed this or released any information. 

Source sent us the following: “One witness said he was almost struck on n main. Another witness said she was almost run off the road on auburn st. Two vehicles, one is a black gmc terrain. The other vehicle “an suv” say witnesses. Is not distinguishable at this time. We believe that the occupant of that car  has passed away. The person in the gmc terrain is being taken by ambulance with life threatening injuries.”

Officials have said the 32 year old man, has passed away.

An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday. 

 


It happened on the bypass, west of S Main in the Eastbound lanes of 20. 

A single vehicle rollover accident.  Injuries were being reported. 

The vehicle is fully engulfed.

The male victim approx. in his 40’s has severe burns to a large area of his body.
