Three Arrested After A Traffic Stop, Guns And Drugs Were Recovered

ARMED VIOLENCE: On Saturday, November 6, 2021, at approximately 3:40 p.m., Rockford Police
SCOPE officers conducted a traffic stop in the 500 block of N. 3rd Street. During the investigation,
officers located two loaded handguns (one reported as stolen out of Wisconsin), cocaine, and
cannabis.
The Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office reviewed the facts of the investigation and
authorized the charges listed below.

Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon
No Valid FOID
Unlawful Possession of Ammunition
Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver
Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Deliver

Valetino Torres, 36, Rockford
Possession of Controlled Substance

Alejandro Sanchez, 31, Rockford
Unlawful Use of a Weapon by a Felon

No Valid FOID
Unlawful Possession of Ammunition
Possession of a Stolen Firearm
Possession of a Controlled Substance
