A fight had occurred between two males, which was being broken up when a blue newer SUV pulled up to the entrance of the parking lot. A black male with short-cropped hair or bald, wearing a black T-shirt and blue jeans, exited the vehicle and began firing shots, one of which struck the victim, a black male 35 years of age in the left buttocks and left leg. The suspect then fled the scene in the blue SUV.

The investigation at this time shows that the victim may have been targeted. The victim was taken to a local hospital and is expected to survive. The victim’s name is not being released at this time.


Original from BPD: We are investigating after an individual received a non-life threatening gunshot wound in the 600 block of Broad Street around 6:25pm tonight.
A fight that occurred in a parking lot escalated to a gun being fired. A victim was struck in the leg and has been transported to a local hospital for treatment.
