Rockford Scanner™: Vehicle Hits A Farm Combine, Victim Needs Airlifted From The Scene

UPDATE:    

On Monday, November 16, 2020 at approximately 3:20 pm, Boone County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to US Route 76 north of Dawson Lake Road, Poplar Grove in reference a vehicle accident.

Preliminary investigation shows that a 2007 Cadillac driven by a 59 year old male was traveling southbound on Rt. 76, north of Dawson Lake Road. The vehicle crossed the center line striking a John Deere Combine traveling northbound.

North Boone Fire District #3 Fire and Ambulance responded to the scene along with OSF Life Flight Helicopter. The driver of the Cadillac was extricated from the vehicle but was pronounce deceased by the Boone County Coroner. The driver of the combine was not injured.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation by the Boone County Sheriff’s Office.
On Tuesday, November 17, 2020, the Boone County Coroner Rebecca Wigget identified the deceased driver as David Tindle of Poplar Grove.

 


Sources are reporting a very serious accident in Boone County. 

A vehicle has crashed into a farm combine on 76   in front of Snyder’s.

Injuries were being reported. 

At least one victim needs to be airlifted from the scene in a medical helicopter to a local hospital. 

Officials have shut down the area.
