Rockford Scanner™: Vehicle Hits a Building And Causes A Flood, Driver Arrested





 

Beloit PD –
We responded to a vehicle vs. building crash at the corner of Broad and State streets, causing extensive damage

The suspect fled the scene on foot and was later located in a doorway on West Grand Avenue. She was transported to Mercyhealth in Janesville for the injuries she received in the crash.

The suspect, Erin R. Groves, age 36, of Rockford, was arrested for operating while intoxicated-second offense, operating while revoked, unreasonable and imprudent speed, hit and run, failure to keep vehicle under control, possession of THC, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The accident caused flooding to the first floor of the building, as well as damaging the side of the building and bending a gas line that did not rupture.
