Suspect Arrested After A Recent Shooting Incident
Shots Fired Incident in the 1500 Block of Kellogg Ave.
On November 28 at 2:37 AM officers were dispatched to the area of the 1500 block of Kellogg for a shots fired call. Several shell casing were located in the road.
The investigation identified Sam Kim of Chicago as the suspect. On November 30 his vehicle was located on King Street in Janesville. Officers conducted surveillance on the vehicle and saw Sam Kim come out to the car. He drove south on Highway 51 and a high-risk stop was conducted. Kim was compliant with officers and was taken into custody. A handgun was located on a search of the vehicle. The handgun is believed to be the one used in this incident.
Surveillance video shows a muzzle flash from the driver’s window as the vehicle was pulling onto Kellogg Ave. There was another, unrelated, vehicle heading west on Kellogg when the shot was fired.
