In January of 2021 the South Beloit and Roscoe Police Departments were contacted in reference to a possible sexual assault.
40-year-old Lamarr O. Wooden of Roscoe, IL was identified as the suspect.
Upon conducting a joint law enforcement investigation, the following charges were authorized by the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office against Wooden:
• Six counts of Criminal Sexual Assault of a Child
• Six counts of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse of a Child
On February 5, 2021 Wooden was located and taken into custody by the South Beloit and Roscoe Police Department detectives. Wooden was lodged in the Winnebago County Jail.
He is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Several sources are reporting to us that Lamarr Wooden was recently arrested.
We have filed a few Freedom Of information Act requests with Chief Jamie Evans to get more information on the charges.
(Note: Roscoe PD Chief Jaimie Evans hates RS, and has not once approved 1 of our FOIA requests)
If she chooses not to respond or denies our FOIA requests, we plan on filing an appeal with the state of Illinois.
At the time of writing this, Lamarr Wooden is in the Winnebago County Jail on 1 Million dollar bond/100K bail.
And the departments involved have not responded back to our FOIA requests or other means of communication.
The arresting officer is RSPD C. Wilder. (Roscoe PD)
Several sources are reporting to us that he recently received an award from the Rockford Register Star, for being a finalist for being the best personal trainer in the area and is well known to many in the area.
Several citizens have claimed he is innocent of the charges.
An officer at the RSPD who wanted to remain anonymous, told us:
“We did a thorough investigation, and there is enough evidence to warrant his arrest.”
Also: “We know he is well known in the community and we made sure there was more than enough evidence before making our arrest.”
If Roscoe PD Chief Jaimie Evans happens to approve our FOIA request, we will update this.
All defendants are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
