Rockford Scanner™: Residential Fire, Next Door To A Local Fire Station

 


 






 

The Rockford Fire department was alerted to a fire next door to a fire station in the 3300 block of Rural.

The engine was in quarters and immediately responded.

A small fire was discovered in the basement of the home and was quickly extinguished.

The occupants of the house had responded and escaped as the fire department was responding.

No injuries were recorded and the occupants were not displaced as a result of this small fire.

The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental, and damages were estimated to be $2,000.00
