Danielle Burbey said: “There is NO SUSPECT there was NO CRIME.

Its called a misunderstanding on the RPD part and them following what they call “protocol”

Someone was caught trying to sneak around our driveways and vehicles and took off running to a running vehicle. That vehicle then approached CONFRONTATIONAL with the subjects at wood rd. Then the vehicle who was out side called the police and MADE FALSE ACCUSATIONS.

And also no one was injured or arrested.”

The Rockford Police have been on scene in the 300 block of Wood Road reference a barricaded subject since approximately 5:30am. The subject has since surrendered and been detained. This is an ongoing investigation.

RPD call log shows this as an “In progress person” call at 315 Wood rd.

Sources are reporting a scene that involves several emergency personnel.

It happened earlier today near Wood rd, near the First Evangelical Covenant Church / Rockford Christian Elementary School.  Several officers including the SWAT truck were on scene.
