Rockford Scanner™: Murder Suspect Flees To Rockford And Gets Caught


Sources are reporting a murder suspect has been caught in Rockford. 

The suspect is 28 year old Waylon Wayman.

Waylon Wayman, 28, was arrested just after 4 p.m. Sunday in connection to an April 1 homicide near Clinton and 12th streets in Green Bay, according to Rockford police.

Officers responded to the area around 1 a.m. and found a man lying in the street. He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead from a gunshot wound behind his ear, according to a criminal complaint filed Friday in Brown County Circuit Court.

A witness told police that he and Wayman met the victim April 1 to rob him of methamphetamine and heroin, according to the complaint.
