Rockford Scanner™: Man Crashes Into Farm Equipment, Arrested For DUI




On 11-14-20 at 2:48 a.m., Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies along with Rochelle and Creston Fire/EMS were dispatched to the 8000 block of S. Woodlawn Rd. for the report of a 2 vehicle crash.

After an investigation, it was determined that a tractor pulling farm equipment was driven northbound in the 8000 block of S. Woodlawn Rd. by Mark Hill, age 64 of Rochelle.

The tractor and farm equipment were partially in the southbound lane.

A Dodge truck driven by, Brian Bozarth age 32 of Shabbona, was traveling southbound, and struck the farm equipment being pulled by the tractor.

The Dodge truck then veered towards the east guardrail, and came to rest after striking the guardrail.

Bozarth was transported to Rochelle Hospital to be evaluated.

Hill was uninjured in the crash.

Bozarth was later arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving on a revoked license, and operating uninsured motor vehicle.

The crash remains under investigation.
