Brief synopsis of what may have happened from Rockford Scanner sources:

What possibly may have happened, according to sources:  

Sources are reporting multiple shooting incidents overnight since midnight in Rockford.

Here’s a summary with approximate times and locations for anyone interested….

-Shots fired at 12:30 am in the area of Andrews Street and Irving Avenue.

-Shots fired at 2:05 am in the 1900 block of 17th Avenue.

-This incident has been described as nothing less than a “shoot out” between two vehicles on/off the Alpine Road/Samuelson Road area:

The first shots fired in this incident were reported at 2:22 am in the 4700 block of Wolverton Lane, then 4900 block of Hampshire Close, then back and forth in the area from Trevor Circle to Wolverton Lane then shots were fired in the 4500 and 4600 blocks of Governors Drive, and it seemed to go back and forth in this area for a estimated total of 10 minutes, the last shots fired were reported at 2:32 am.

-Shots were fired at 3:33 am in the 1600 block of 9th Avenue. In this incident police and medical personnel from the Rockford Fire Department were called to the scene for a potential shooting victim, but police could not locate a shooting victim on scene. It’s unknown at this time if anyone was actually struck and self transported.

-Shots fired at 4:04 pm in the 400 block of Irving Avenue. This is the second shots fired call to this area today.

The Rockford Police Department has confirmed these shots fired calls and are currently investigating.
