From HRFD: HRFD was dispatched for a pile of cardboard burning on the outside of a building on N Second today at at 9:54am. (June 17th). Upon arrival of the first unit, numerous piles of cardboard were discovered burning along the exterior wall of the structure. The fire was extending into the building which was a recycling plant. The fire was brought under control quickly. Thank you to Rockton Fire, South Beloit Fire and North Park Fire for their assistance. The building sustained approximately $15000.00 damage. Sources are reporting a fire in Machesney Park. 

It happened around 10 am at the Paper Recovery Services at 10400 N Second st. 

A paper bale is on fire next to the structure. 

HRFD and NPFD are reported to be on scene battling the fire.
