This afternoon, while already on the scene of a structure fire with Loves Park Fire, North Park was dispatched for a vehicle accident on Interstate 90 westbound near mile marker 10.25.
A passenger vehicle and a tractor trailer collided, with substantial damage to the car. Both occupants of the car were out of the vehicle upon our arrival, and both were transported to the hospital for treatment. The driver of the tractor trailer was uninjured.
Thanks to OSF Lifeline for being the second ambulance on scene, and Cherry Valley Fire for responding from Loves Park’s fire to assist on this scene.
