Suspects Pull A Gun On The Victim After A Hit & Run Accident in Rockford


Update from the victim involved:  The victim told us, 3 teens stole an older 4 runner. They came around the corner fast and T-boned the victim. After the accident, the suspects took off running. They are described as 2 black males and 1 black female. The female was the driver.  When they tried to flee on foot, the victim tried to chase after them on foot. The suspects then pulled a gun on the victim. That suspect is a black male teen, heavier set wearing a red jacket and black jeans. After the suspects pulled the gun on the victim, they were last seen fleeing on foot. The victim said all the suspects were still on the loose in the area. 


 Around 7:20 pm this evening officers and emergency personnel were called to a automobile accident at Brooke Road and 11th Street in Rockford.

A witness claimed that occupants of a black Jeep or Chevy Impala involved in the accident were fleeing the scene of the accident right after it happened.

It’s unknown the extent of damage or injuries at this time.

The Rockford Police Department is currently investigating.
