Rockford Scanner™: Another Victim Shot While Traveling In A Vehicle in Rockford

AGGRAVATED BATTERY WITH A FIREARM: On Friday, January 7, 2022, at approximately 7:10
p.m., Rockford Police officers responded to the 300 block of Underwood Street for reports of
shots fired.

A short time later, a 17-year-old male gunshot victim was dropped off at a local
hospital suffering from a non-life-threatening wound to his back.

Officers were advised that the victim was struck while he was a rear seat passenger of a vehicle traveling on Underwood Street.
