Allegedly What May Have Happened: Shooting
Approx. Location: 3500 block of Elm Street
Approx. Time: 6:45 pm
At approximately 6:45 this evening emergency personnel were called to the 3500 block of Elm Street in Rockford for reports of a shooting victim.
Initial reports are this is a male, age unknown at this time, with multiple gunshot wounds.
His injuries are said to possibly be life threatening. He was transported by ambulance to a local hospital.
Avoid the area while police are investigating.

UPDATE Per RPD:
Shooting investigation in the 3500 block of Elm. An adult male sustained life-threatening injuries. Please avoid the area while we investigate.
2nd Update Per RPD:
