On Friday, November 29, 2019, The Boone County Sheriff’s Office arrested two subjects on multiple drug charges.
Nathan Ramirez, 23 year old male of Aurora, was charged with one count of Unlawful Possession With Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance – cocaine 100-400 grams (Class X Felony), one count of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance – cocaine 100-400 grams (Class 1 Felony), Unlawful Use of a Weapon (Class 4 Felony) and Unlawful Possession of a Stolen Firearm (Class 2 Felony). Ramirez remains in the custody of the Boone County Jail on a 100,000.00 (10%) bond.
Brooklynn Colacino, 26 year old female of Chicago, was charged with one count of Unlawful Possession Controlled Substance – cocaine (Class 4 Felony). Colacino was released from the Boone County Jail on a 10,000.00(10%) bond.
On Friday, November 29, 2019, at approximately 11:50 pm, a Boone County Sheriff’s Deputy stopped Ramirez’s vehicle on I-90 near the Belvidere Oasis for a traffic offense. The vehicle was searched after a Boone County Sheriff’s K9 alerted on the vehicle. Deputies recovered over 100 grams of suspected cocaine, over $3000.00 in cash, and a loaded semi-automatic handgun. The vehicle Ramirez was driving was also seized.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are possible.
The Class X Felony is punishable by 9-40 years in the Department of Corrections. A Class 1 Felony is punishable by 4-15 years in the Department of Corrections. A Class 2 Felony is punishable by 2-5 years in the Department of Corrections. A Class 4 Felony is punishable by 1-3 years in the Department of Corrections.
