Rockford Scanner™: 2 Men Received The Humanitarian Service Award from Illinois MABAS

On January 13, 2020, Sheriff Ernest and Boone County EMA Director Dan Zaccard presented Frankie Perez and Rodney Kampfranz with the Humanitarian Service Award from Illinois MABAS.

The awards and metals were received for appreciation of their contributions, personal sacrifice and professional service provided to the State of Illinois. In June, 2019, both individuals spent over six days and nights volunteering their time on the Water Rescue Team rescuing individuals stranded during massive flooding in Southern Illinois.

Both are long time volunteers for the Boone County Emergency Management Agency and are Water Rescue Team members.

Congratulations to both – we love our volunteers!!
