Rockford Fire Department Battled A House Fire Earlier Today

RFD were called for a structure fire at 2307 Bell Ave around 3:10 pm.

Med 9 arrived on scene took command and gave a size up of a single story wood frame ranch with heavy fire and smoke showing from the B-side of structure.

Eng 1 arrived on scene and deployed a 1′ 1/2 preconnected attack line and extinguished the fire that was mostly external of the structure.

Eng 8 arrived and provided a positive water supply to Eng 1.

Eng 1 announce an all clear life as per the home owner.

Ladder 9 provided utility control and checked for extension in the structure.

D2 arrived on scene and assumed command.

D-1 arrived and assumed Safety Officer.

An Investigator was requested and a building department representative.

I3 arrived on scene and conducted an investigation.

Fire was under control in minutes and no injuries were reported.

Command was transferred to the Officer of Eng 1 and D-2 was available.

Estimated damages are $25,000.00

Rockford FD is investigating the cause of the fire.
