Rockford FD Battled A Fire On The East Side

Thank you RFD for the transparency. 


The Rockford Fire Department responded to 1220 5th ave for a residential structure fire.

First engine unit arrived and attacked a fire on the 2nd floor.

The fire was brought under control in 25 minutes.

Other arriving fire crews worked to extinguish all areas of the fire, ventilate the structure, and perform searches which resulted in one home at the time of the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time.

The building department was notified of this incident.

Red cross was not needed.

No injuries to civilians or firefighters were reported

Estimated damages: $20,000.00
