Rain bands from Cristobal will impact the area Tuesday afternoon and evening with some brief, but absolutely torrential downpours.

Small flash flood risk, mainly well west of I-39.

The start of the week will be hot, with temperatures in the lower 90s expected, but remaining cooler near the lake. The remnants of Tropical Storm Cristobal will move through the Midwest Tuesday, creating heavy rainfall and strong southerly winds, with gusts of 40 to 50 mph Tuesday afternoon and evening. In addition, a front will move through Illinois/Indiana Tuesday overnight, bringing cooler temperatures and decreasing chance for showers, but strong winds continue, switching to the north with gusts of 40 to 45 mph. Pleasant conditions are expected
