Police Use A K-9 And Spike Strips To Catch A Grand Theft Auto Suspect in Winnebago County





Police use spike strips to catch a suspect who allegedly stole a vehicle. 

It happened on Saturday night at the Mobil on Orlando in Machesney Park.

Sources said 26 year old Bryan Deal stole a Dark Blue Subaru with a plate of N226194 from the Mobil gas station on Orlando in Machesney Park.

Approx. midnight the Loves Park Police spotted the stolen vehicle near N Second st and Harlem.

Police attempted to pull him over, but he refused and sped off.

Police chased the suspect for a bit.  During the police chase, spike strips were used.

The police laid down the spike strips on Latham rd.

After hitting the spike strips, the vehicle became disabled.

Bryan Deal attempted to flee on foot.

A police K-9 and officers were able to capture the suspect in the 3200 block of Latham.

26 year old Bryan Deal was arrested on several charges that include: Agg. Fleeing, Possession of a stolen vehicle, 2 counts of grand theft auto.
