Police Arrest A Woman For Fraud, Vehicle Burglaries May Be Connected

 On 03/16/21 at 1321 hours Deputies were called to the Stillman Bank in Oregon for a report of a female cashing a forged check using stolen identification.

At about 1333 hours the Byron Police responded to the Stillman Bank in Byron for a report of a female cashing a forged check using the same checking account and identification as the call at the Stillman Bank in Oregon.

After a joint investigation with the Byron Police Department, Tanya Thomas 52 of Columbus OH was located and charged with two counts of Forgery, one count of possession of stolen property and one count of identity theft.

During the investigation it was learned that the car burglaries that occurred in Davis Junction over the weekend of 03/11/21 were connected.

No arrests were made in those cases at this time as the investigation is pending.
