The Chicago Auto Show is the largest auto show in North America, spanning more than 1 million square feet of production, concept and exotic vehicle exhibit space. In addition to hosting multiple world and North American vehicle debuts, the Chicago Auto Show’s First Look for Charity raises more than $2.5 million annually for 18 vital Chicago organizations in a single night. As the nation’s largest auto show, the Chicago Auto Show features more than 1 million square feet of exhibit space showcasing brand-new vehicle introductions and a complete range of domestic and imported passenger cars, trucks, sport-utility vehicles, minivans and concept cars. In all, nearly 1,000 different vehicles will be on display including hundreds of interactive, aftermarket, accessory and auto-related exhibits, competition vehicles, antique and collector cars.
First staged in 1901, the Chicago Auto Show is the largest auto show in North America and has been held more times than any other auto exposition on the continent. This year marks the 112th edition of the Chicago Auto Show.
The Chicago Auto Show utilizes more than 1 million square feet in the North and South Exhibit Halls of the McCormick Place complex. McCormick Place offers a total of 2.7 million square feet of exhibit halls with an additional 700,000 square feet of meeting room availability.
All Chicago Auto Show exhibits are held in the McCormick Place complex. Exhibitions include: multiple world and North American introductions; a complete range of domestic and imported passenger cars and trucks; sport utility vehicles; and experimental or concept cars. In total, nearly 1,000 different vehicles will be on display. Additionally, attendees will also have the opportunity to see numerous accessories and auto-related exhibits, competition vehicles and project, antique and collector cars.

Several companies are debuting their newest vehicles. Our favorite is the 2020 Porsche Taycan!
2020 Porsche Taycan: The Taycan is Porsche’s first-ever all-electric vehicle. Available only as a 4-door sedan, Taycan seats four and comes standard with all-wheel drive. Competitors include the Audi e-Tron and Tesla Model S.
Three models are offered: 4S, Turbo, and Turbo S. Three electric drivetrains are available: The 4S is offered with a 390 kW motor and 522 horsepower. The Turbo comes with a 500kW motor and 670 horsepower. The line-topping Turbo S has a 560 kW motor and 751 horsepower. The Turbo S has an estimated range of 279 miles and can go from 0 to 60 MPH in 2.6 seconds with a top speed of 155 mph.
Available driver-assist technology includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, rearview camera with cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, frontal collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, automatic high-beam headlights. Pricing ranges from $103,000 to $185,000.

The 2020 Chicago Auto Show will feature four indoor test-track experiences where show visitors have the opportunity to go for a ride in a brand-new vehicle right on the show floor. The indoor tracks are indicated as Test Tracks on the map are are in the Jeep, Ram, Toyota and Volkswagen displays. In addition, there will also be three outdoor test-drive opportunities.
