Sources are reporting a small plane landed in a cornfield.
I am late on posting this.
Which is a good thing, because I was able to gather
I tiny bit more information, before posting about this.
I began getting alleged reports of a possible accident,
That involved an aircraft.
As you know, the weekends are usually the busiest for the local airports.
For small aircraft pilots. A lot of small aircraft pilots fly on the weekends.
When it comes to mechanical stuff.
Something is bound to fail at some point or another.
I was told that a pilot of a small aircraft.
The aircraft was an alleged to be a single engine aircraft.
I don not yet have the type of aircraft or tail number.

The pilot is alleged to have had some kind of technical issue.
And was attempting to land at the Poplar Grove Airport.
According to their website, the runways
The airport’s main runway is approx. 4,000-foot hard-surface runway
is complemented by two grass runways, both 2,500′ long by 150′ wide,
The pilot was almost able to make it to the airport.
However, it made a soft landing in the cornfield.
I was told in the cornfield, immediately West of the airport.
The pilot did an amazing job at landing the aircraft.
There were no alleged injuries.
And the plane was allegedly already moved back to the airport.
I do not know the cause of the crash.
Usually the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB)
Investigates airplane crashes.
