Sources are reporting a
Fatal shooting in Rockford.

It happened overnight in the 6600 block of East State st.
In the parking lot of Spirit Halloween and Gustafson’s Furniture.

Initial reports are saying that there was a large get together in the parking lot.

During the get together, multiple shots were fired.
A modified firearm, known as a “switch” is believed to have been used.

The parking lot was littered with shell casings.

While police conducted their investigation,
They laid down numerous police evidence markers
showing the locations of each shell casings.

Approx. 20 officers and police detectives and the crime scene unit were on scene.

Rockford PD said in their release:
The shooting victim was transported to a local hospital.

That is not true.

The shooting victim was on scene and never was transported.

Emergency personnel tried to revive the shooting victim.
But was not able to.

And they pronounced the shooting victim, dead in the parking lot.
And put a Blue sheet over him. In the parking lot, next to the sidewalk.

The shooting victim is a younger White male.

The windows of Gustafson’s were shot out.

Rockford Police are encrypted and have not released any suspect information.
