Winnebago County Sheriff Winnebago County Release: WCSO deputies did respond to a report of a shooting earlier today, 1000 Minns Dr in Machesney Park. There were no injuries and there is no threat to the public. WCSO Detectives are following up on the incident. No further information at this time.

Sources are reporting an alleged shooting in Machesney Park.
It happened this morning
Around 4:30 am
In the 1000 block of Minns in Machesney Park.
Possibly 1010 Minns in Apt. C
WCSO is encrypted and have not released any information.
So nothing is confirmed,
And police do not want our community to know the suspect descriptions.
We have been told that multiple shots were fired
Around 4:20 am this morning.
And that at least 1 person was shot.
We have unconfirmed reports saying up to
3 people may have been shot.
We can confirm that 1 male has been shot in the stomach area.
The victim is reported to be a Black male approx. in his 30’s.
With reports of alleged multiple victims.
Police have the scene secured with crime scene tape.
