Rockford Police Media Release:

On Saturday, June 15, 2024, at approximately 7:30 p.m.,

Rockford Police SCOPE officers conducted a traffic stop in the 2600 block of Canterbury Lane.

The passenger, Anthony Fricks, had an outstanding warrant for Drug Induced Homicide. The
driver, Erica Blankenship, along with Fricks, resisted arrest. Both were lodged in the County Jail.
Blankenship has since been released.
After a review of the facts of the case, The Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office authorized
the charges listed below.
Anthony Fricks, 36, Rockford Resisting Arrest
Aggravated Assault
Drug-Induced Homicide Warrant

Erica Blankenship, 37, Rockford Resisting Arrest
Aggravated Assault
Obstructing
Various Traffic Offenses
