On Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at approximately 4:05 a.m.,
Rockford Police officers were in the 800 block of N. Court Street on an unrelated call when they
observed six juveniles run from the underground parking garage at 829 N. Court Street. Officers
took two of the juveniles into custody and they were later released to parents/guardians. During
the investigation, officers located and recovered two vehicles, one reported stolen from Rockford
and one reported stolen from Rochelle.

After a review of the facts of the case, The Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office authorized
the following charges.

Juvenile Male, 14, Rockford
Possession of Burglary Tools
