A VERY violent night in Rockford, four more shootings before midnight with multiple victims reported-
At approximately 11:20 this evening, multiple gunshots rang out in the area of Willard Avenue and School Street in Rockford.
Emergency personnel were called to the 3100 block of School Street for two victims from this shooting, one is said to be a 34 year old female shot in the back and the other shooting victim is said to be a unknown age male shot multiple times in the leg and once in the hip and is possibly unresponsive, and was ultimately located in the 400 block of N Burbank Avenue.
A gas line was reportedly struck by gunfire in the 3000 block of School Street and natural gas is leaking.
Then reports of another shooting victim came in, with this shooting victim located in the 3200 block of Parkside Avenue. This victim is reported to be a 18/19 year old male shot in the leg.
These three shooting victims were all transported by ambulance to local hospitals.
Avoid these areas while police are investigating.
Another possible shooting occurred earlier in the evening at approximately 9:05 this evening in the 500 block of Hill Street in Rockford.
Initial reports are a male was pistol whipped in this location but later reports are the victim was also possibly shot.
They were transported by ambulance to a local hospital. The extent of those injuries are unknown.
