UPDATE from the Loves Park Police Department:

On January 7, 2024, at approximately 10:53 p.m., Loves Park Police Patrol Officers responded to the
4400 block of Kellee Ln. in reference to a shots fired call. Upon arrival, the officers located a crime scene
and identified a victim suffering from non-life threatening gunshot wounds. The victim was treated at
the hospital.

Through follow-up investigation, a suspect was located and identified as Ali A. Alsaeidy, 21 years old
from Rockford, Illinois. The case was reviewed with the Winnebago County States Attorney’s Office, and
the offense of Aggravated Battery with a Firearm was authorized. Ali Alsaeidy has been lodged at the
Winnebago County Jail with no bond pending his initial court appearance. The defendant is considered
innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Any further statement will be issued by the Winnebago
County States Attorney’s Office.

2 Alleged Shootings In Winnebago County,
1 Confirmed Shooting Victim

Sources are reporting that a little after 11 pm tonight, 
There was a shooting near Forest Hills and 173. 

There was one confirmed shooting victim. 

It was unknown on the severity of the injuries. 

Just before midnight, there was an alleged 2nd shooting scene. 

This alleged shooting was near Kellee. 

Reports of some gunfire and 1 person allegedly injured.
