Rockford Scanner fans have been messaging us about some strange lights in the sky.  

Many have thought that it could be an alien invasion.

Great news, there are no little green men landing in Rockford.

The lights that everyone is reporting, is actually Starlink.

RS Source Sierra Ann sent us this very good footage of the Starlink as it traveled over the skies Rockford, earlier tonight.

On Tuesday night around 8 pm,
SpaceX launched its Starlink Group 6-27.
The Falcon 9 took off from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.

It is reported to have launched approx. 23 satellites from this launch.
And that is what everybody is seeing earlier tonight.

According to their website, there are no good visibility times for our area.
However, there are several chances in the next few nights to be able to still see it.
