Allegedly What May Have Happened: Train vs tractor accident
Alleged Approx. Location: On Klinger Rd, north of Edwardsville Rd
Alleged Approx. Time: 12:05 pm
At approximately 12:05 this afternoon emergency personnel were called to Klinger Road, north of Edwardville Road, for reports a train and tractor collided.
This area of Klinger Road, in between Edwardsville Road and Kelley Road, is possibly Pecatonica, (Winnebago County).
Pecatonica Fire have been dispatched for the injured and Stephenson County have been dispatched for a possible hazardous materials situation.
UPDATE: A Mabas box 8 has been struck for mutual aid for a 100 gallon spill of diesel fuel.
Initial reports are the tractor rider is up and conscious but injured, the extent of injuries is unknown at this time.
Avoid the area awhile. Klinger Road is going to be shut down, with possibly a larger area closed/evacuated if this is a hazardous materials situation.
