Rockford Suspect From A Shooting That Took Place In South Beloit In 2021 Has Been Arrested In Pennsylvania
On 7/24/2021 the South Beloit Police Department responded to a report of shots fired in the parking lot of The Wheel. Responding officers learned that an unknown suspect had fired at last 10 shots at an occupied vehicle striking a female victim in the head. An investigation into this incident was initiated and the suspect was identified as Sylvia Trammell of Rockford, Illinois. Information was developed at the time that lead investigators to believe that Sylvia Trammell had possibly fled the area after the incident.
On 9/21/2023 Sylvia Trammell was located and taken into custody near Pittsburg, Pennsylvania by the United States Marshals Service. Sylvia was transported to the Allegheny County Jail to await extradition back to Illinois.
The South Beloit Police Department would like to thank the US Marshals Great Lakes Fugitive Task Force for the assistance with this case.
