Our Opinion; On What Allegedly May Have Happened
Based on the current information that has been provided to us

 RPDRelease:

On Sunday, July 30, 2023, at approximately 5:00 a.m.,
Rockford Police officers responded to the 800 block of Hoban Street for reports of armed
subjects. When officers arrived, they observed a possible suspect vehicle leave the area. The
vehicle had six subjects inside, and during the investigation, two loaded handguns were located
and recovered, one of which had a defaced serial number. During the investigation, two of the
individuals were charged.
The Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office reviewed the facts of the case and authorized
the charges listed below.
