First and foremost:
AVOID DOWNTOWN ROCKFORD
Initial reports are saying multiple people have been shot on the roof of a Rockford Downtown building.
It happened just before 4 am, in the 200 block of West State st.
Reports of a lot of gunfire, and at least two people have been injured.
Numerous emergency personnel are on scene.
Still developing…
Update: One male has life threatening injuries.
Per RPD:
SHOOTING INVESTIGATION in the 200 block of W. State Street. Adult male suffered life-threatening gunshot wounds and was transported to a local hospital. Please avoid the area while investigate
UPDATE: The 24-year-old man has died from his injuries sustained in the shooting earlier this morning on W. State Street. Further updates will be posted here or in a future media release.
