Allegedly What May Have Happened: Double Shooting

The Winnebago County Sheriffs Office has arrested a 17 year old male in connection to a double shooting Friday night that killed two other teenagers.
The shooting happened on Friday, June 30th at approximately 8:05 in the evening in the 1400 block of Willard Avenue.
A 17 year old male was pronounced dead on scene Friday night and a 14 year old male, who was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries, also died a short time later.
The teen identified as the suspect has been placed in the Winnebago County Juvenile Detention Center, according to the department. The teen has been charged with two counts of First-Degree Murder with an enhancement for the use of a firearm, two counts of Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.
