RESISTING ARREST-AGGRAVATED BATTERY TO A PARAMEDIC
When Rockford Police officers
attempted to detain an individual , later identified as Kandras Martin,
he proceeded to yell and kick the inside of the squad car. Martin then requested medical
attention and while he was inside the ambulance, he continued yelling obscenities, and
proceeded to spit in the face of one of the Rockford Fire Personnel. Martin was removed from
the ambulance, and again detained in the back of a Rockford Police squad car, where he
continued to yell and kick the inside of the door. Due to his actions, he was put into the Rockford
Police Squadrol vehicle, and transported to a local hospital as requested. He was treated and
released, and is now lodged in the County Jail.
After a review of the facts of the case, The Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office
authorized the below listed charges.
Martin was also found to have two outstanding warrants.
