Location: Bypass 20 in between Alpine and 11th Street in construction area

Approx. Time: 4:40 pm

What Allegedly Happened: Large truck/semi on fire

Brief Synopsis on what may
have allegedly have happened…

At approximately 4:40 this afternoon emergency personnel were called to bypass 20, in eastbound lane of road construction between Alpine and 11th Street, for a large truck/semi fully engulfed in flames.

Both eastbound and westbound lanes of traffic are currently blocked because this reportedly happened where the road construction is, where only two lanes of traffic are open during construction, one eastbound and one westbound.

No reports of injuries at this time.

*RFD said over air they don’t believe there’s anything hazardous burning.

Avoid the area or expect delays. Due to the heat and heat of the fire, the road may be damaged and closed longer than expected.

*Update: RFD confirmed no injuries. 🙂
