Police promised transparency when they encrypted.

The one way local police have actually been transparent.
Is with their 72 police call logs.
Basically it is their CFS.
Call For Service

For months, their call logs were “down”
Now that the call logs are up and working again.
There can be more accurate information posted.
And it will help eliminate any misinformation or exaggerations.

The call logs have helped the community several times,
To cross reference and fact check things.
The call logs have played a vital role in providing accurate information to the community.

I am going to take a second and acknowledge
Rockford PD,
LPPD,
WCSO,
Rockton PD,
Roscoe PD,
Cherry Valley PD,
SBPD,
911 Dispatch Center,
And to whoever was able to the call logs working again.

The police are usually transparent in their logs these days.

Rockford PD have definitely improved with properly labeling crimes in their logs.

We have to remind you. Not all calls are logged.
And we totally understand the reasoning behind it.
Incidents that are not posted involve; rapes, juveniles, domestics…
Those types of incidents are not posted in the logs.

Another friendly reminder:
The logs are delayed by two hours.
Basically to stop people from knowing what is going on real time.
So nobody can go to the scene and look at what’s going on.
