Sources said for an alleged armed suspect

Sources were reporting a scene on Rockford’s East side.

Initial reports are saying there was
Two alleged armed suspects on the loose.
In the neighborhood just
East/South of East High School.
Prospect, Gardiner, Highland, Charles, etc…

Several officers swarmed the area.

Unconfirmed reports said a nearby school
Went on a brief lockdown
To keep the students safe.

Officers were telling citizens
To go inside and to lock their doors.

Unconfirmed reports are saying one person was detained,
And police were searching for a second alleged suspect.

No other information at this time.
