Multiple Charges for Rockford Juveniles
ROCKFORD, IL – Rockford Police SCOPE officers observed a stolen vehicle last night at
approximately 7:45 p.m. in the area of Harrison Road, near S. Main Street. The vehicle fled from
officers, but other SCOPE officers located the vehicle, reported stolen out of Bartlett, Illinois, near
Kishwaukee and 8th Avenue, and observed four juvenile males flee from the vehicle. One of the
juveniles, a 15-year-old, was apprehended after a short foot pursuit. Two other occupants, both
16, were located by a Rockford Police K9, and taken into custody.
During the investigation,
officers located and recovered a rifle and ammunition. Two of the juveniles, a 15-year-old and
16-year-old, were lodged in the Juvenile Detention Center, and the other 16-year-old was
released to a parent. The fourth juvenile was unable to be located.
After a review of the facts of the case, The Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office
authorized the charges listed below.

The charges are merely accusations and all individuals are considered innocent unless proven
guilty in a court of law.
