William Jones In Now in The Winnebago County Jail
William Jones, the man charged with the murder of Peggy Anderson at
Pinnon’s in early January, is now in custody in Huntsville, Alabama.
Following an anonymous tip to the Rockford Police Department, the North Alabama
Violent Crime Task Force took him into custody last night, February 3, 2023, and he was
lodged in the Madison County Jail in Huntsville, Alabama.
We would like to thank the
North Alabama Violent Crime Task Force along with the agencies that provided additional
assistance including the Huntsville Police Department, Madison County Sheriff’s Office,
and the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office.
“I am thrilled with the partnerships that exist with law enforcement across the country.
The collaborative efforts show the overall commitment to public safety, regardless of
location,” says Rockford Police Chief Carla Redd. “Once again, I can’t say thank you
enough to the entire Rockford community for working with us, and to the three donors
for the generous reward incentive they provided.”
As always, the charges are merely accusations and all individuals are considered innocent
unless proven guilty in a court of law.
