At approximately 11:40 this evening emergency personnel were called to Bypass 20 and S Alpine Road for reports of a semi that had rolled over and was on its side in the roadway.
Initial reports are the semi was transporting barrels of oil or something similar and those are now said to be spilled all over the road, making this a possible hazmat situation as well.
The exact location is the semi is west of Alpine in the eastbound lanes. Please avoid this area, the road will probably be closed down for hours.
The male driver was said to be conscious and was being transported to a local hospital by ambulance.
