My opinion on what allegedly may have possibly happened,
Based on the information that has been currently provided to Rockford Scanner:
This is a longer report.
I am going to try shrinking it down to just the synopsis.
And some copy/paste from the original report.
Back in November 1999 the eyewitness was working as a production assistant at a local media outlet.
She remembers it being Tuesday night/Wednesday morning when the incident happened.
Approx. 3 am, She just got off of work and was headed home in Stillman Valley.
When she first spotted the mysterious objects, she was traveling on Kishwaukee Rd/Stillman Rd.
As she came up to the last hill to the valley on Stillman Valley rd,
She saw approx. 30-40 objects in the nearby cornfield.
She described them as being the size of a basket ball in the SE corner of the cornfield near Cardinal Lane.
The eyewitness watched these balls of light float approx. 10 feet off of the ground.
She described watching the objects fly up to each other then back.
They also floated up, down, diagonally, and some were hovering.
She is reporting that it was eerie silent, and no sound.

The group of flying balls of light all started to break up and fly off in their own directions, 2 or 3 of them together, and not up, but out over the land. At this point I got back in my car and tried to follow one of the balls of light, which I was able to successfully do, turned left (east) onto highway 72. But I lost it in the trees where the highway crosses the creek just past what used to be the East End Tap (now Theos Thirsty Cow).
When she spoke with the gentleman from MUFON, she asked him if he was aware of any similar reports in the area.
He said he was not sure but would look into it and get back to her. And he did.
She told us that he said there have been more than 80 similar reports in a 100 mi radius from her since 1975, that he could find.
