Rockford Scanner™: Rockford’s National Night Out

We are excited that National Night Out is back and we’ll be hosting the
event at the City Market area in downtown Rockford! Please bring the family out on
Tuesday, August 2nd, from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. for National Night Out 2022.

National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement,
while bringing back a true sense of community. National Night Out is celebrated by
millions of neighbors across thousands of communities.

“National Night Out provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together
under positive circumstances,” said Assistant Deputy Chief Mike Dalke. “We enjoy seeing
everyone come back each year to see all that’s happening with the police department,
and to have a fun family evening.”

Those who attend RPD’s National Night Out can enjoy games and activities for the kids,

Rockford Police K-9 demonstrations, free food, a live band, Kegel Harley-Davidson E-
bikes, face painting, and so much more.

The event is free and fun for the entire family.
