We want to take a second and thank all of the veterans! Thank you for your service!
We want to also take a second and thank everyone who sends us their positive events.
The Rockford area has a lot of potential and many great events.
But we can only post, what we know about…
So keep sending in your positive event information!  🙂

On Saturday July 2, 2022, Cottonwood Airport (1C8) in Rockford, IL (5105 Auburn Street) will be having a Fly-in/Drive-in event to honor our Veterans. Everyone is invited.

We especially would like to invite anyone with a warbird. If you can bring your L Bird, PT, T etc. please send me a message to let me know. We will have a designated parking area for the warbirds in the open area by the EAA hangar. All other aircraft are asked to park at the very South end or North of the EAA hangar. We are also asking for volunteer pilots to give rides.

See schedule below for more information.
Opening Ceremony will start at 2 pm:
• Color Guard
• National Anthem
• Chaplain Dedication -John Tuddles.
• Keynote Speaker Leo Ribordy
• Follow by Barber Shop Quartet
VFW will be cooking out and supplying refreshments.
Free Airplane Rides will start after the opening ceremony (weather permitting.) We will give rides to as many as possible but veterans will be first.

Please spread the word about coming out and/or flying-in.

Volunteers will be needed to help park cars and aircraft.
(We will need people with experienced marshalling aircraft.)
We also need help setting up tents, tables and chairs.

If you can help with setting up please arrive at 11 am.
Hope to see you at the airport…
