Rockford Scanner™: 2 Juveniles In Possession Of A Stolen Vehicle & Fleeing From Police, Police Arrested Them & Released To Their Parents

On Saturday, April 30, 2022, at approximately 7:20
p.m., Rockford Police SCOPE officers located an unoccupied vehicle, reported as stolen out of
Oswego, in the 400 block of N. 2nd Street. A short time later, two male juveniles entered the
vehicle and when officers attempted a traffic stop, the occupants, a 15-year-old male and a 14-
year-old male, fled on foot. They were detained a short distance away.
After a review of the facts of the case, the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office authorized
the charges listed below.

Both juveniles were released to their parents.
