FELONY RETAIL THEFT: On Friday, April 29, 2022, at approximately 4:45 p.m., Rockford Police
SCOPE officers responded to 3816 Broadway (O’Reilly’s Auto Parts) for reports of an armed
robbery.

Upon arrival, officers were advised that an adult male, later identified as Latravious
Robinson, exited the store with multiple items and left the area in a vehicle. A short time later,
the vehicle was observed near Whitman and N. Main Streets. The vehicle became disabled and
subsequently came to a stop at N. Horsman and Auburn Streets. Robinson fled on foot, but was
taken into custody a short distance away and lodged in the County Jail.

After a review of the facts of the case, the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office authorized
the charges listed below.
